Take back control of your co-parenting communication.
BestInterest filters conflict, coaches your tone, and helps you rebuild calm — one message at a time.
Are you planning to use Solo Mode and want to test it before giving your assigned number to your coparent? Understandable. Testing the BestInterest app before fully implementing it in your co-parenting communication can provide reassurance and familiarity with its features.
Here are two effective methods to try out the app in Solo Mode without initially involving your co-parent:
Step 1: Set Up Your Co-parent’s Profile
Navigate to More > Coparent Profile in the BestInterest app. Enter your co-parent’s phone number. We will not send them any messages or notify them.
Step 2: Get Your Assigned Phone Number
Go to More > Coparent Connection to see the phone number assigned to your account. This is the number your co-parent will use to communicate with you once you invite them.
Step 3: Send Test Messages
From your own phone, send messages via iMessage or your phone’s SMS app to the assigned number. Act as if you are your co-parent. These messages will be filtered and appear in the BestInterest app, as if they were coming from your coparent, allowing you to see how the app handles incoming communications.
Caution: Any messages you SEND will be sent to your co-parent.
Step 1: Use a Friend’s Number for a Co-parent Profile
Instead of your co-parent’s number, enter a friend’s phone number in More > Coparent Profile as a part of the test setup.
Step 2: Retrieve Your Assigned Phone Number
Access More > Coparent Connection to view the number linked to your account. This will be the number your friend will use to test message you.
Step 3: Have Your Friend Send Messages
Ask your friend to send messages to the assigned number. This simulates receiving messages from your co-parent. Observe how these messages are processed and displayed in the BestInterest app, providing insight into the app’s functionality and message filtering.
Following these steps, you can ensure that the BestInterest app meets your needs and expectations before involving your co-parent.
