Why do you need my coparent’s number?

For many of our customers, it’s hard to get their co-parent to agree to anything — let alone using an app together to reduce conflict. That’s why we developed Solo Mode.

With Solo Mode, you use BestInterest by yourself. When you send a message to your co-parent, we deliver it to them via SMS. They won’t know you’re using an app unless you choose to tell them.

To make this possible, BestInterest assigns you a new dedicated phone number — one your co-parent can use to text you. You simply tell them you have a new number where they can reach you. This keeps all communication flowing through the app, where it can be organized, documented, and protected by our AI filter.

We will never message your co-parent without your knowledge.
Entering their number does not alert or notify them in any way. You stay in full control of when and how communication begins.

Even if you’re not ready to message yet, saving your co-parent’s number helps us prepare your account in case you decide to start later.
