Will I get my ex’s texts on my phone and the app?

Where a message arrives depends on which number or service your coparent uses:

• In Collaborative Mode, messages sent by your linked coparent in BestInterest arrive in the Messages tab.
• In Solo Mode, SMS sent to your Boundary Line number arrives in the BestInterest app. Boundary Line is available with Connect, Protect, and Protect Plus.
• SMS sent to your personal phone number stays in your phone’s regular messaging app. BestInterest cannot forward those personal-number texts into the app.

You should not receive a duplicate in your regular SMS app when the message was sent through BestInterest or to your Boundary Line number. A separate SMS appears on your phone only when your coparent sends it to your personal number.

Keep future messages in BestInterest

Give your coparent your Boundary Line number, or ask them to use the BestInterest app with you in Collaborative Mode. Messages they continue sending to your old personal number remain outside BestInterest.

You can find and share your Boundary Line number under Settings > Coparent Connection.
