Imported email remains private to you, including in Collaborative Mode. BestInterest does not send email to your coparent or notify them that you use the feature. Your email account keeps receiving the originals; send any email replies through your usual email provider.

Forwarding rules bring in new matching messages; adding a rule does not import older email. If Protect becomes inactive, an enabled channel can continue importing original wording without filtering. Remove your email provider’s forwarding rule if you want those imports to stop.

Does my coparent need to use BestInterest?
No. You set up forwarding from your own email account. Your coparent keeps using their usual email address and does not need to install BestInterest or join your account.
Which plans include Message Shield for Email?
Setup and Message Shield filtering require Protect or Protect Plus in BestInterest version 3.2 or higher. If Protect becomes inactive, an enabled channel can continue importing original wording without filtering. Remove your provider's forwarding rule if you want those imports to stop.
Can my coparent see the email I import?
Imported email remains private to you, including in Collaborative Mode. BestInterest does not send email to your coparent or notify them that you use Message Shield for Email.
Does it replace my email account or send replies?
No. Message Shield for Email imports incoming messages into BestInterest. Your email account keeps receiving the originals, and you send any email replies through your email provider.
Can I forward messages from Gmail or another provider?
Yes. Set up a rule that forwards new messages from your configured coparent addresses to your private BestInterest address. Gmail requires forwarding confirmation. You can also manually forward a message from your verified mailbox. Adding a rule does not import older email.
