The details your family relies on, finally in one place.
Contacts, insurance, school and medical information, notes, and related files stay searchable in one Custody Binder—so there is less pressure to remember where everything lives.
Manual Binder items and Selected Binder PDF exports are included on Free. File uploads and custom card types start on Connect. Magic Tags start on Protect. Compare plans.
A calmer reference point
The detail is useful when you can find it.
A file folder can hold paperwork. The Custody Binder also keeps the context around it—the child, category, notes, visibility, and fields you may need again.
Stop searching across scattered places
Keep the contact, policy number, school detail, note, and related file with the Binder item it belongs to.
Find what you need by more than its filename
Search titles, fields, and notes, then filter by tag, child, category, visibility, or favorites.
Keep control of what becomes shared
Every new item starts private. In Collaborative Mode, you choose which items your co-parent can see.
Built for family information
Start with familiar cards. Shape the Binder around real life.
Use built-in cards for the details many families return to, then group everything into clear categories such as Health, Education, Activities, Contacts, Daily Life, Legal, Financial, Travel, and Other.
School and contacts
The people and places you call
Save school details and important contacts with structured fields instead of relying on memory or a message search.
Health
Insurance, allergies, visits, and prescriptions
Keep recurring medical details organized by child, with room for the notes that make the record useful later.
Your family
Flexible categories and custom cards
Organize daily life, activities, legal, financial, travel, and other details. Connected families on Connect and higher can add reusable custom card types.
Privacy by default
Share the item, not your whole filing cabinet.
New items start private. In Collaborative Mode, you can share an individual item when it is useful for your co-parent to have it. In Solo Mode, your Binder stays private to your account.
Your favorites and tags remain personal even on a shared item. Shared items keep an update history, and a Binder setting controls whether your co-parent can edit shared details.
Tags and favorites always stay private
Start with the essentials
A useful Binder on Free, with file tools when you need them.
The core organizer and selected Binder PDF export do not require a paid plan. Paid plans add file handling, flexible templates, and optional tagging assistance.

Optional private Magic Tags
Get suggested organizational tags for an uploaded file. The suggestions stay private and do not populate Binder fields for you.
Your earlier documents
Older Shared Docs move forward with you.
BestInterest carries earlier Shared Docs into the Custody Binder and automatically migrates eligible files into regular shared Binder items.
Once migrated, documents can be edited or deleted according to ownership and shared-editing permissions. Preserved frozen snapshots remain read-only.
Questions, answered
Custody Binder questions
Is the Custody Binder included on the Free plan?
Yes. You can create manual Binder items and export selected Binder item details as a PDF on the Free plan. File uploads and custom card types start on Connect. Optional Magic Tags start on Protect.
Can my co-parent see private Binder items?
No. New items start private, and private items are visible only to you. In Collaborative Mode, you choose which items to share with your co-parent.
Do I need my co-parent to use the Custody Binder?
No. The Custody Binder works in Solo Mode, where your items stay private to your account. Collaborative Mode also lets you share selected items with your co-parent.
What can I keep in the Custody Binder?
Built-in card types cover contacts, insurance, school details, allergies, doctor visits, and prescriptions. You can also organize notes and, on Connect or higher, related files and reusable custom card types.
Can I scan or upload a document?
Yes. Connect, Protect, and Protect Plus include file uploads from your device, camera, photo library, or document scanner. File uploads are attached to Binder items so the context stays with the file.
Are my tags and favorites shared?
No. Your Binder tags and favorites are personal organizing tools. They remain private even when the underlying Binder item is shared.
What do Binder Magic Tags do?
Magic Tags are an optional Protect feature that suggests private organizational tags. They do not extract facts from a file into Binder fields, and the suggestions are not shared with your co-parent.
What happens to older Shared Docs?
Older Shared Docs are carried into the Custody Binder and eligible files are migrated into regular shared Binder items. You can edit or delete documents you own; documents created by your co-parent follow the Binder's shared-editing permissions. Preserved frozen snapshots stay read-only.
